Monday's BAGS programme kicks off with twelve races apiece from Swindon (11.03 to 1.51) and Sheffield (11.11 to 2.03). These no sooner end than Monmore (2.08 to 6.11) and Walthamstow (2.18 to 6.18) take over with 14 races apiece in the afternoon. We then move onto Nottingham (6.28 to 9.22), Yarmouth (6.33 to 9.12) and Romford (6.38 to 9.14) to complete a long, busy day.

There's some top class open race action taking place at Monmore this afternoon with four separate competitions getting underway. There are three heats of each event with the first two from each heat going forward to Friday's Finals also live on BAGS.

All three of today's selections run on this card kicking off with Highfield Hondo (T3 3.48) in the 480-metre competition. He has a good record around here and, with his normal good start, should soon stamp his authority on the race.

The Stayers' competition promises to be a cracker. With several leading fancies coming together in the third heat, it offers a good opportunity to Glittering Aries (T1 4.47), who looks plotted up on the fence, to win the opening eliminator and make his mark.

The Sprint heats close the card and prolific winning two-bender Blonde Jet (T4 5.56) is sure to be all the rage for the event outright. Winner of all but one of his last 14 starrs, it's difficult to see him being beaten here.
