We're not saying his try last weekend is the only reason Sam Tomkins got a new contract, but it was certainly a timely reminder for the Wigan bosses. The 20 year old is one of the brightest prospects in Super League and this week the Warriors tied him down to a five year deal. Coach, Brian Noble built him up by gushing "I think he's a well put-together piece of work emotionally as well as physically" but quickly reminded Tomkins that he'll knock him down if he starts to believe his own hype, warning "if he needs to keep his feet on the ground, I'll certainly keep them there for him." Tomkins played his part in the stirring victory over Hull KR, but can he prove he’s really Sam-thing special by doing the same against Harlequins RL? Fri. 8pm SS1 – Super League Betting
