West Indies v India 3rd ODI - Sharing His Was-dim
By Paddy Power July 2 2009
As much as Chris Gayle appreciates the money athletic challenge of Twenty20 cricket, it's not everyone's cup of Earl Grey and cucumber sandwich. Joining the crowd of naysayers is Pakistan legend, Wasim Akram who believes that an overload of the shortest form of the game has hindered the development of a couple of Indian rising stars. Citing the examples of Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja, Akram says "Twenty20 has affected their game. It's no point slamming a 15-ball 30 and a seven-ball 15." Further confirming his stance on the dinosaur side of the debate, he patronised "T20 is fun cricket. Judge a player on it, you are dead." India were trashed in the last match, but could they hit b-Ak by beating the West Indies in the 3rd ODI? 2.30pm SS3
